I urge swift and decisive action regarding immediate shutdown of the Chicago River canal that makes direct connection with Lake Michigan. Fisheries and tourism in Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin will be affected permanently if we do not stop the asian carp from reaching Lake Michigan. Can we really afford the catastrophic loss of our joint Lake Michigan fisheries and tourism mecca that it is? Please do not allow this to happen.
